3D Fishing Fly Paper Sculpture of a Romeyn Fly

3D Fishing Fly Paper Sculpture of a Romeyn Fly

Ask a question

Romeyn is an original 3D paper sculpture. Not a photo. Romeyn was created from several pieces of hand cut, acid free, duplex stock paper painted with Gouache on both the front, back and edge surfaces.

A Romeyn fly is not commonly used these days. It was created by Dr. Ely and named for the friend who apparently suggested the tip of the tail needed a touch of red on it so the fly would work better. The colors and shape worked for me - so I translated it to a sculpture - regardless of its fascination to a fish.

It's framed in an 8" x 10" oak shadow box frame. The frame has glass siliconed in place to act as a protective barrier to humidity and the environment. The frame sets off the sculpture for a terrific presentation, and is ready to hang in your home or to be given as a gift to a special fisher person you might know.

I will ship your sculpture to you within 2 days of receiving cleared payment. The sculpture will be bubble wrapped and then "peanuted" to protect it during shipping.
